Where Can I Use the WellRx Pharmacy Card?
There are roughly 65,000 pharmacies in the WellRx network. Compared to other pharmacy discount cards, this is slightly lower. For example, GoodRx has 75,000 pharmacies in their network. Here are just a few of the pharmacies that customers can use their ScriptSave WellRx card at:
How Do I Use My WellRx Card?
To use your WellRx discount card, simply download it on the WellRx app or print it off on the WellRx website, choose a local pharmacy that has the lowest prescription price, and show your savings card to the pharmacist when you go to pick up your medication. At this time, you’ll be responsible for paying the discounted rate.
Can I Use WellRx With Insurance?
Yes, if you have insurance you may use your card for prescriptions that aren’t covered by your insurance plan or you can use the card on medications for family members who aren’t covered by health insurance. Even if you don’t have insurance, you can use a WellRx card to save on generic and brand-name prescriptions.
If you have Medicare and are enrolled in a Medicare Part D plan, you can use your WellRx discount card for prescriptions that are excluded by the Medicare Part D plan. If you have Medicare and are not enrolled in a Medicare Part D plan, you can use your card to save on multiple prescriptions without any age or income restrictions.
Does WellRx Cost Money?
ScriptSave WellRx is completely free for consumers to use. Unlike GoodRx, WellRx does not have an additional monthly subscription service for consumers to opt into.
Even though WellRx is free for users, it makes money by getting paid a referral fee from the pharmacy every time a customer pays for a discounted drug. Basically, savings programs like WellRx and GoodRx negotiate discounts on bulk drug purchases with pharmacies. When you use your WellRx card to fill your prescription, the pharmacy compensates WellRx with part of that purchase. Companies like WellRx help pharmacies by bringing in uninsured customers who normally wouldn’t fill a prescription.
Does WellRx Actually Work?
With multiple companies in the discount prescription space, it can be challenging to determine which companies are actually legitimate and which ones are a total scam. WellRx is verified by the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP), has an A+ rating from the BBB, and has a 4.8-star rating from TrustPilot.
In addition to these trust factors, here are a few WellRx reviews from current customers:
“I am overly satisfied with the savings I get on my prescriptions. Your company has saved me a lot of money. Online website is easy to use and it makes picking up my prescription quick and easy and I know I got a great deal. Keep up the GOOD work! Thank you.” Vicki S. on January 8, 2020 on BBB
“This site is at least worth a try. I couldn’t save on all family scripts but did find at least one that counted most. I tried a half dozen sites and ScriptSave was the easiest to use, free, and saved me money. I will use them in the future.” James M. on September 10, 2019 on BBB
“I’m on Medicare Part D and they refused to cover a chronic med that my private insurance had covered for over three years. When I checked on [the] out-of-pocket price, it was about $300 for a 90-day supply. I stumbled on ScriptSave from a Google search, and at first didn’t believe it. It brought up the pharmacy with the best price with the ScriptSave card and I got my 90-day supply for $29.10! Yes, it does work, but the price with the card varies widely from pharmacy to pharmacy.” Joseph F. on March 11, 2020 on Trustpilot
Before using this prescription discount service, read each and every WellRx review carefully, research other companies like SingleCare, and compare drug prices at multiple pharmacies to get the best deal possible when filling your prescription.
